Cheryl graduated from Western State University College of Law with a special focus on criminal law. She began her career in criminal law as an intern with the Probation Department in her hometown of Massachusetts during her undergraduate studies, and continued as an extern with the Orange County Public Defender's Office during law school.
As a part of the Lawyer's Entrepreneurial Apprenticeship Program ("LEAP") through the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, Cheryl's focus has been to provide low to moderate income level individuals with affordable legal services in the areas of criminal law, family law, and unlawful detainers. She offers payment plans, limited scope representation, flat rate fees, and bundle services to ensure that her clients receive zealous representation they can afford.
Aside from her private practice, Cheryl works as a temporary attorney for the Legal Aid Self-Help Center at the Compton Courthouse, is an attorney "Of Counsel" for the Law Firm of Brian Michaels, and is a volunteer attorney for the California Innocence Project.
